Dahana has partnered with PT Geodipa Energi (Persero) for the Kampung Direct Use (KaDieu) program to promote the use of geothermal energy within the community of Sugihmukti Village, Bandung Regency. This collaboration was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) involving PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Dahana, PT Pindad, PT DI, and PT SMF alongside PT Geodipa Energi (Persero) in Sugihmukti Village, Bandung Regency, on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Ismail Kurbani, Dahana’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Manager, emphasized that the Company’s involvement in the development of KaDieu Village exemplifies its commitment to a sustainable SER program. He noted that this initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 7 on clean energy and Goal 8 on promoting economic growth in communities.

“We chose to participate in the development of KaDieu Village because of its tremendous potential as an innovation center for the direct use of geothermal energy. This collaboration also highlights Dahana’s dedication to green energy and community empowerment, which is a priority for the region,” said Mr Kurbani.

KaDieu Village serves as a pilot project for tilapia cultivation, greenhouses, hot spring baths, and saunas, effectively integrating the direct use of geothermal energy to meet various community needs.

With this integrated utilization scheme, the residents of Sugihmukti Village now have new economic opportunities that are more independent and sustainable. KaDieu Village is also expected to become an inspiring model for the development of policies regarding the direct use of geothermal energy at both local and national levels, contributing to a green, just, and sustainable Indonesia.

“Our hope after signing this MoU is to achieve robust and sustainable economic independence in Sugihmukti Village. Dahana is committed to continuing to support this development process so that the benefits of geothermal utilization can be experienced in the long term and leave a positive legacy for the community’s welfare in the future,” concluded Mr Kurbani.
